Publishing Track

Writing and Publishing students have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience as a part of our Publishing Track, which focuses on specialized writing and writing-adjacent skills such as journalism, editing, book design, and entrepreneurship.

Students in the Publishing Track serve as staff members on one or more of our three publishing entities:

Batcat Press

BatCat Press is the only high school student-run small literary press in the nation. Students on staff get an inside look at the publishing industry, and spearhead the acquisition, production, and publication of several new titles each year. In Fall 2020, members of BatCat Press started Shambles, a brand-new online literary journal.
